For the launch of the new S.A.R. Mission-Timer, a special edition of 63 unique pieces has been introduced. Each case back of the limited edition is engraved with the name and silhouette of one of the 63 sea rescue cruisers or boats of the DGzRS rescue fleet. A share of the sales proceeds from the special series will be donated to the sea rescuers.
The German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS) is responsible for the maritime search and rescue service in the German areas of the North and Baltic Seas. 180 salaried and around 800 volunteer sea rescuers carry out around 2,000 missions every year.
The entire independent and autonomous work of the sea rescuers is financed exclusively by voluntary contributions, without claiming tax money. Since the DGzRS was founded in 1865, its crews have rescued more than 86,000 people from distress at sea or from imminent danger.

While the 46-metre-long HERMANN MARWEDE, for example, is used around Helgoland on the open sea – the 7-metre-short ZANDER is often used in shallow Bodden waters. Thus, the total of 10 classes of sea rescue cruisers and boats are perfectly matched to their respective purposes.
