Explained simply

Adjusting a Rubber Strap

Your rubber strap is delivered in a standard length. To perfectly fit your wrist, you can easily shorten the strap at home. Alternatively, you can have this done by a jeweler.

How to shorten the strap

1. Remove the buckle from the strap. Pay attention to the direction in which it is attached. To remove the buckle, press the spring bar through the band holder’s hole and gently pull the strap out of the buckle. Repeat this process on the other side.

2. Remove the spring bars from the strap and store them safely.

3. Detach the last strap segment from both sides at the designated notch. It’s best to use a pair of pliers, scissors, or a sharp knife for this.

CAUTION: Gradually adjust the rubber strap to your wrist size. A strap that is cut too short cannot be lengthened again. Both halves of the strap must be shortened evenly (e.g., by 2 segments each) so that the buckle is centered on the inside of the wrist. If the ideal strap length can only be achieved through uneven shortening (e.g., 3:2 segments), the excess segment should be removed from the half of the strap that is attached to the 6 o’clock position on the case.

4. Insert the strap ends into the buckle holder. To do this, press the spring bar together and slide the other end into the designated hole. The spring bar must click into both holes.

5. Check the length on your wrist. The length is ideal when, with the buckle closed, there is enough room for one finger between the strap and the wrist.

6. Repeat the process until the strap, including the buckle, fits perfectly on your wrist.
