Matching timepieces and the spirit of time

The new Mühle watch case

When regulating our timepieces, we follow the principle: Better a few seconds too early – than a few seconds too late! After all, a wearer of a Mühle watch should not be late because of his watch. Our new watch case is also committed to this principle. With its maritime look and refined design, it appropriately expresses the nautical virtues of our timepieces. Moreover, it is ahead of its time thanks to its positive environmental balance.

As an independent family business, we at Nautische Instrumente Mühle-Glashütte have always attached great importance to a family approach to employees, customers, trading partners and resources. For us, family is almost synonymous with the term “sustainable”, which is rightly becoming increasingly important. When one’s own children are involved in the family business, the term “sustainability” takes on a completely different, directly tangible meaning. Because you can feel very concretely what the protection of our environment and the obligation to future generations means. We therefore regularly reflect on our own actions and always make decisions with future generations in mind. From now on, we will therefore deliver new Mühle watches in a watch case that is as beautiful as it is sustainable.

BRAND TYPICAL MARITIME
The new watch case is opened with the help of a bright sail line. This reveals not only the watch cushion with its Mühle blue cover fabric - but also, and above all, discreetly shimmering lettering describing the Mühle watch stored in the case. These are distributed on all sides of the watch insert, where the service booklet and the operating instructions for the watch are also placed.

Handmade from Hamburg
The new Mühle watch case is manufactured in Germany without long transport routes. Our Hamburg-based manufacturer relies on sustainable and environmentally certified materials and has therefore been awarded the Blue Angel. For example, the core material of the case, inlay and watch cushion is made of 100% recycled cardboard and the inner felt of the watch cushion is made of 96% recycled plastic bottles.

EMPHATICALLY SUSTAINABLE
The recycled cardboard of the case is covered with an FSC-certified, blue through-dyed natural paper. On top of it, there is a recyclable protective film coating without plastic and solvents. The cover fabric for the watch cushion is also FSC-certified. In addition, it is produced in a climate-neutral manner.
30 years since our refoundation.

Time to celebrate.
